Netizens were crying animal cruelty after a viral video showing a dog chained and dragged along the National Highway in San Juan, Gingoog City. The pitiful dog has now been rescued and received much-needed treatment at the City Veterinary Office. Maryan Clayre, a compassionate netizen who stumbled upon this distressing incident, managed to convince the motorcycle rider to cease the cruel act and set the dog free, whose paws were already in a pitiable state, bleeding from the ordeal.
In a display of empathy, Clayre, upon learning that the person responsible for the inhumane treatment might have a mental health issue, decided to take down the video she initially shared.
