Wallet with P10k left by Cagayan de Oro-bound passenger returned by NAIA airport security screeners

A passenger bound for Cagayan de Oro expressed his gratitude to an airport personnel for returning his wallet containing P10,000 cash which he inadvertently left on the inspection table at the Final Security Screening Checkpoint (FSSCP) of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 last Friday, January 19, 2024.

Security Screening Officer (SSO) Wilfredo Riego of the Office for Transportation Security who found the wallet immediately informed his Checkpoint Supervisor, who subsequently had the passenger paged. The passenger, who was bound for Cagayan de Oro via Air Asia flight number Z2 697, went back to the FSSCP to claim the wallet and presented identification.

The owner of the wallet expressed his gratitude to SSO Riego and his team for their assistance and honesty. He got his wallet back before his scheduled flight.
