Officials of Bukidnon State University (BukSU) led by University President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol recently inaugurated last January 16, 2024 its new Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory situated at the 3rd Floor of the New CAS Building at its Main Campus in Malaybalay City. The laboratory will serve as a learning and research hub for students taking up Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology with focus on Biotechnology as well as those pursuing a BS in Environmental Science with an emphasis on Environmental Heritage Studies, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Science Education with a specialization in Biology.
In a news release, BukSU’s new facility is committed to cultivating indigenous, rare, endemic, endangered, medicinal, and economically significant plant species through tissue culture.
