Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri, Governor Peter Unabia and Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. together with executives of AMADI – MGT Terminals Inc. and local municipal officials led today’s formal ground breaking ceremony for the Lagonglong Port Project located in Poblacion, Lagonglong, Misamis Oriental. The private port development will include modern dock facilities, storage areas for perishable goods, loading and unloading equipment and designed to handle 3.3 million metric tons of bulk local and international cargoes annually. It is targeted for completion in March 2025.
The project aims to address logistical concerns on the movement of agricultural products and raw materials.
