Centenarian from Opol, MisOr receives P100k cash incentive from DSWD

A centenarian from Opol, Misamis Oriental was recently recognized and given ₱100,000 cash incentive from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office X and the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) under Republic Act 10868, or the Centenarians Act. Mariam Amboloto Macala was born on June 6, 1916 making her 107 years old. A simple ceremony was held at the Municipal Hall of Opol with the presence of Mayor Jayfrancis Bago.

Apart from the cash incentive, Nanay Macala also received a plaque of recognition signed by the President of the Philippines, congratulating her for a remarkable longevity.
