InDrive, a US-based mobility service provider, is set to unveil its ride-hailing services in several key cities outside Metro Manila, including Cagayan de Oro. This development comes after receiving accreditation from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), officially recognizing the company as a transport network company. It is now gearing up for the official launch of its services and currently in the driver onboarding phase. Headquartered in Mountain View, California, it is the second-largest ridesharing and taxi app worldwide based on downloads.

Unlike most ride-hailing apps, inDrive allows passengers to choose a driver who meets their preferences, such as driver’s rating, vehicle model and estimated arrival time.

At InDrive, drivers have the flexibility to choose rides based on various details, including fare, pick-up location, and destination. They can also opt to ignore requests they find unsuitable without facing any penalties.

With this development, InDrive is now present in over 700 cities and 45 countries.
