The construction of the Maladugao Hydroelectric Power Plant Project, with a capacity of 8.4MW, is currently underway in Barangay Lampanusan, Municipality of Kalilangan, Bukidnon. This progress continues following the approval of a P1.4 billion loan by state-owned Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) to Investco BHPI, Inc., the project developer. This financial support is part of DBP’s Financing Utilities for Sustainable Energy Development (FUSED) Program, aligning with the national government’s initiatives to broaden the scope of new and sustainable energy sources.

The project site is located at the boundary of the provinces of Lanao del Sur and Bukidnon, 94 km from Malaybalay City. It will contribute to the stability of the power supply in the area within the franchise area of coverage of First Bukidnon Electric Cooperative (FIBECO). The power plant is expected to be on stream by 2025. Browse over latest project updates below.
