The Municipal Government of Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, has enacted Ordinance No. 2023-1809, mandating specific establishments deemed high-risk and crime-vulnerable, including public offices, to install closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems, video monitoring devices, and similar equipment on their premises. This initiative aims to safeguard the well-being and security of constituents from criminal activities and lawlessness. Enforcement will be stringent during the renewal of Business Permits starting January 2024.

Establishments covered under the ordinance are as follows:

A. Public offices serving the general public;

B. High-risk and crime-vulnerable establishments, regardless of capitalization:

  • Jewelry shops and pawnshops
  • Banks
  • Money courier and money wire transfer, money remittance and pay-out centers serving 200 clients or more daily
  • Lending entities
  • Hotels, motels, hospitality establishments and the likes
  • Establishments with games and amusements (PAGCOR franchises)
  • Night clubs, KTV Bars, and the likes
  • Health clubs, Spa and massage parlors
  • Other business establishments considered high risk;

C. Establishments catering to the public, regardless of capitalization:

  • Bus Terminals
  • Gasoline Stations and depots
  • Grocery stores operating 24 hours
  • Hospitals
  • Internet Cafes
  • Commercial Complex
  • Malls
  • Department Stores
  • Restaurants
  • Schools
  • Cinemas and Theaters

D. Other private establishments catering to the general public not included in the above enumeration but with capitalization of not less than Three Million Pesos (P3,000,000)

Said establishments are also required to submit a Statement of Compliance to the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) or send it to lgumfbplo@gmail.com. Non-compliance will be subject to penalties or cancellation of business permit.
