Police have arrested a possible suspect in the murder of broadcaster Juan “DJ Johnny Walker” Jumalon after the bullet shells recovered from the house of Jumalon matched with the gun used by the suspect in the killing of a municipal engineer last month. The suspect was nabbed in an anti-drug operation in Barangay Don Bernardo A. Neri in Calamba, Misamis Occidental last Tuesday, November 14.
Police stated that the arrested suspect whose identity was not disclosed served as a lookout when two men entered Jumalon’s house and shot Jumalon while having a live broadcast via Facebook.
Meanwhile, investigators are looking into land dispute as the motive for the killing since the victim was not a hard-hitting commentator.
