Prince Erroll V Reyes, a BS Radiologic Technology student of Iligan Medical Center College (IMCC) and Aaron L Degamon, a BS Chemistry graduate of Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively, in the just concluded DOST-PCHRD Undergraduate Thesis Grant in Natural Products Oral Research Paper Presentation held today, October 27 at the PICC Forum in Pasay City. Congratulations!
Reyes presented his research entitled, “Radioprotective Effects of Purple Yam (Dioscorea alata L.) Tuber and Leaf Extracts on Genatoxicity Induced by X-rays in Human Peripheral Blood Lymphocytes.”
On the other hand, Degamon, a Magna Cum Laude graduate of BS Chemistry last July 2023, presented his research entitled, “Project “Diabeathis”: In vitro screening of Clitoria ternatea (“Blue ternate”), Ficus septica (“Lagnob”), Heliotropium indicum (“Elepante’), and Costus igneus (“Insulin plant”) as Potential Source of Anti-diabesity agents.”
