Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando “Karex” Uy has cited a young Kagay-anon taekwondo jin who brought honor to the city after winning medals in several tournaments in the United States. Cyriel Jores Soriano Valdez who paid a courtesy call on the city mayor Wednesday, October 18, took home gold and silver medals in the recent International Florida Open in Ocala, Florida, USA. Valdez also secured another gold in the Sunshine State Taekwondo Event in Winter Haven, Florida. And finally, he bagged silver medals in the Yong In University International Presidential Cup at the World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
