The Department of Health Center for Health Development in Northern Mindanao has released a statement clarifying on circulating information about the Nipah virus (NIV) even as more schools have issued advisories reverting to online classes due to health concerns. DOH-X Regional Director Ellenieta Gamolo stated that there are still no cases of NIV in the country as there are no laboratory confirmed cases of said infection.

Meanwhile, the City Health Office of Cagayan de Oro has already conducted surveillance and appealed to schools to report cases of headaches and other flu-like symptoms.

As of posting time, the following schools have released advisories reverting to online classes.

- Xavier University Higher Education
- Liceo de Cagayan University Basic Education Department
- Lourdes College Integrated Basic Education Department (Basic Education, K-10)
- Corpus Christi School
