The Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental is set to implement three major tourism infrastructure projects – the P25 million Agutayan White Island Redevelopment, the P2.5 million Laguindingan Airport Kiosk and the Sagpulon Falls Redevelopment Project. This was disclosed by Provincial Tourism Officer Atty. Jeffrey Saclot.
Accordingly, the budget for both the Agutayan White Island Redevelopment and the Laguindingan Airport Kiosk have already been approved by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan and will be submitted soon to the province’s Bids and Awards Committee.

Agutayan White Island is a small 5,000-sqm sandbar 5 kilometers off the coast of Jasaan, Misamis Oriental surrounded by a 3-hectare marine sanctuary that also serves as breeding ground of endangered giant clams. With its shallow water and amazing marine life, the place is ideal for swimming, diving and snorkeling.

Meanwhile, the proposal for the Sagpulon Falls Redevelopment Project were submitted to Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco during the Dive NorthMin Festival.
Keep posted.
