Cagayan de Oro’s Romel Calahat, Jr and Inand Val Fornilos along with Iligan City’s Rhinwil Yambing and Bukidnon’s Rey Anthony Peralta are trying their luck in the Philippine Basketball Association after submitting their names for this year’s PBA Draft. They are among a record 128 applicants in the country’s premier professional basketball league.
The 6’2 Calahat out of San Sebastian College is an all-around player and currently plays for the Sarangani Marlins in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). He also played for Apex Fuel in the PBA D-League. You may remember him as the one who scored the winning basket when Cagayan de Oro’s Assumption Montessori dethroned La Salle-Lipa in the NBTC Division 2 National Championship in 2017.

Meanwhile, 6’2 Fil-Nigerian Fornilos out of Ateneo de Manila University is currently playing for Marikina Shoemasters in the MPBL and his electrifying dunks have been trending in social media. Because he was born in Bangkok, Thailand, he is considered a Fil-Foreign.

On the other hand, the 6’3 Yambing is a high-leaping scorer also from San Sebastian College. He currently plays for San Juan Knights in the MPBL.

Rey Anthony Peralta from Kalilangan, Bukidnon is a 6’2 guard out of Perpetual Help University.
