Aspiring track athletes in the province now have an improved training venue to hone their skills with the newly inaugurated rubberized track and football field oval at Balingasag Central School in Balingasag, Misamis Oriental. The project worth P98,995,522.38 also included the stage, bleachers and comfort rooms. Governor Peter Unabia together with local school officials led the formal inauguration and blessing. With the new sports facility, it can now host sports division meets, regional meets, or the even the Palarong Pambansa.

The project was also through the initiative of Cong. Yevgeny Vincente “Bambi” B. Emano and Cong. Christian S. Unabia.
