Construction of the Gusa-Cugman Segment of the 10.80-kilometer CDO Eastern Interior Diversion Road has resumed with works on the 120-meter Bigaan Bridge 3 now ongoing. This new road opening starts at JR Borja Extension and goes parallel with the National Highway and connects to Sayre Highway near Gaisano Puerto.
As shown below, the road alignment will deviate from the existing road and go straight towards Bigaan River. The portion colored green has already been completed years back even before the pandemic.

The current funding broke ground last July 3.
As shown below, several concrete piles for the bridge are now observed onsite. Aerial photos by TRip ni Tonio.





You can see several houses will be affected by the road-right-of-way of the 4-lane bridge.



The bridge will connect to the completed section as shown below.


The completed section ends at Cugman area near the foot of Malasag Hills.

The road project is expected to cut through these hills.
