The 20th City Council of Cagayan de Oro has passed a resolution today, August 14, 2023 unanimously declaring drag artist Amadeus Fernando Pagente also known as Pura Luka Vega as persona non grata in Cagayan de Oro City for his serious disrespect and mockery of the Christian faith by portraying himself as the Black Nazarene dancing to a remix version of “Ama Namin” on a recent viral video. The resolution was authored by Councilor Ian Mark Nacaya. Pagente was also declared persona non grata by Bukidnon as well as in many other local government units.
