Cong. Rufus Rodriguez recently led the groundbreaking ceremony for the Lapasan section of the New Eastern Diversion Road. The 525-meter section of the 2-lane concrete road which is the existing Lapasan-Camaman-an Road has an appropriation of P105 million and will start near Limketkai Center Junction.

Since 2018, project funding released has amounted to P535 million. The entire New Eastern Diversion Road project has a total length of 3.186 kilometers connecting the South Diversion Road in upland Mandumol and down to Nazareth to Camaman-an to Justo Ramonal – Jct. JR Borja to Limketkai Center and the Butuan – Cagayan de Oro – Iligan City Road (BCIR) in Barangay Lapasan. Once completed, it will serve as an alternate route to the present winding and narrow road from Bgy Camamanan going up to Bgy Indahag and also those proceeding to Bukidnon Province.
