Personnel from the Bureau of Fire and Protection, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) of Libertad, Misamis Oriental and volunteers helped put out the grass fire at Mt. Anggas which raged and spread uncontrollably for several days since May 12. The local MDRRMC sought the help of volunteers particularly mountaineers due to the large area covered by the grass fire.
