PROJECT WATCH: DPWH to build new flat slab bridge, replace foot bridge in Puerto, CDO

To address the flooding along Puerto Highway in Puerto, Cagayan de Oro City, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will be constructing a new flat slab bridge over Mindolog Creek which has been observed to overflow during heavy precipitation. Further, a new structure will replace the existing foot bridge due to reduced height clearance as a result of the new bridge which will elevate the particular section of the highway. Expect heavy traffic in the area once construction starts.

The project has an approved budget contract of P96.5 million and targeted for completion in 281 calendar days. Browse over some slides during the pre-bid conference for the project (23KD0038).

Here’s the general elevation of the new bridge.

Here’s the rendering of the new foot bridge. It’s basically the same design with the existing structure.
