Cagayan de Oro 2nd District Cong. Rufus Rodriguez led barangay officials and DPWH Region 10 personnel in the inauguration of the completed 60-meter FS Catanico Bridge in Brgy. FS Catanico. The P200-million FS Catanico Bridge is one of two bridges that form part of the Balubal-Indahag Mountain Diversion Road which itself is a major segment of new diversion road project linking Sayre Highway to Laguindingan Airport via the mountain route.

The total cost of the road network for the project amounts to almost P1.6 billion. In total, P2.2 billion has been released for project implementation of the said Diversion Road, which DPWH estimates to be 70% completed. Three more road openings along the route are being funded under General Appropriations Act (GAA) for 2023 (Package 14, 15 and 16). Package 11, 12 and 13 are already ongoing.
