RANDOM SHOTS: Thousands of anchovies wash up on MisOcc coast

Thousands of dead anchovies locally known as “bolinao” washed up along the coastal town of Plaridel in Misamis Occidental. Based on photos shared in Facebook by netizen Joan Awa, several fisherfolk started gathering the fish. Accordingly, there are other fish that washed up but anchovies were aplenty. There was no clear explanation on the incident but some netizens said the fish may have died due to lack of oxygen and high temperatures.
