Thousands of devotees have now passed the entry point for this year’s “Panaad sa Birhen sa Guadalupe”, a long trek with 9 river crossings to reach the Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine located in Igbalalay Hills in Tablon, Cagayan de Oro City.
Although trek organizers have opened another entry point in Barangay Balubal, many still prefer the original route as shown below because of the river crossings and shade trees which somehow provide some cool comfort from the sheltering heat of the sun.
Security and emergency units are deployed at the entry point and several areas along the route for the safety of the general public.
