A couple from Cugman, Cagayan de Oro City caught the public eye during the ‘Kasalan ng Bayan’, a mass civil wedding by City Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy last March 11, 2023 because they set an example of true love. Randy and Cherry Obedencio have been living together for nine years and have an 8-year old child, this despite the fact that Randy was born without legs.
Cherry works as a logistics logistics staff of Joesons Autoparts while Randy stays at their house and looks after their child.
As disclosed by the City Information Office, the couple were among 64 pairs during the mass wedding.
All couples received free lechon, cake and wine from Mayor Klarex, 5 kilos of rice from SK Federation President John Michael Seno and grocery packs from Liga ng mga Barangay President and City Councilor Yan Lam ‘Alam’ Lim.
