The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) and Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) which mandates NMMC to provide students of USTP’s College of Medicine which opens in August 2023 with training and experience in all parts of the hospital setting, including operating rooms, emergency rooms, and other departments.
Signing the Base Hospital Agreement were USTP President Dr. Ambrosio Cultura II represented by Chancellor Dionel Albina and NMMC Chief Dr. Jose Chan with Cagayan de Oro Rep. Rufus Rodriguez as witness.
As stipulated in the MOA, NMMC shall also guarantee and obtain Level 3 DOH accreditation with accredited residency training programs in Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, and Gynecology.
USTP’s pioneering students under its Doctor of Medicine Program starts this August.
