The feasibility study for the proposed construction of a port in the Municipality of Magsaysay in Misamis Oriental has been included in the Consultancy Package of the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) for CY 2024. This was revealed by 1st District Rep. Christian Unabia during the recent Serbisyong PAGLAUM held in the municipality.

Governor Peter Unabia added that if the port is realized, he also wants ships to serve direct routes from Magsaysay to Camiguin and Maasin in Southern Leyte, respectively due to their proximity.

Meanwhile, Rep. Unabia also announced some P295 million worth of infrastructure projects to be implemented this year in Magsaysay including completion of the Victoriano-Ratilla Cultural and Sports Complex worth P20 million.
