Endangered Brown booby bird found in the middle of a road in Cagayan de Oro

A Brown booby (Sula leucogaster), which is a large seabird, has been caught by a family in Cagayan de Oro City after it was found in the middle of the road. The Borden family took the bird under their care and fed with fresh fish. The bird was turned over to the City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office (CLENRO) for safekeeping. Under DENR Administrative Order (DAO) No. 2019-09 or the Updated List of Threatened Philippine Fauna, the Brown booby is considered endangered.
