Philippine flyweight Marvin Tabamo of Balingasag, Misamis Oriental, who drew a bye in the preliminaries, advanced to the quarterfinals after beating Omer Ametovic of Serbia as Carlo Paalam ran out of luck losing his quarterfinal bout against world champion and Asian Games gold medalist Mirazizbek Mirzakhalilov of Uzbekistan to end his campaign in the 74th Strandja International Boxing Tournament in Sofia, Bulgaria.
