Tokyo Olympics silver medalist Carlo Paalam is off to a winning start outpointing Enver Muzaffer of Turkey, 5-0, to advance into the quarterfinals in men’s bantamweight in the 74th Strandja International Boxing Tournament in Sofia, Bulgaria. He will face Mirzakhalilov Mirazizbek of Uzbekistan for a spot in the semifinals.
