Meanwhile, Councilor Jay R. Pascual, chair of City Council committee on agriculture, expressed his support to the proposal citing that his pet dog was a big help on his mental health during the time he got COVID.

Concilor Pascual stated that City Veterinarian Dr. Perla Asis has already planned to purchase Blood Chemistry, X-Ray and Ultra Sound Machines to upgrade the services of the City Vet Office, however, it has insufficient budget as of this time.

The matter was referred to his committee for further study but Pascual is optimistic the undertaking will push through very soon for pet lovers in the city who cannot afford the high cost of veterinary services especially when their pets get sick.
