Check out the latest update on the Kagay-an Bridge Improvement Project as part of the JICA-funded Flood Risk Management Project for Cagayan de Oro River (FRIMP-CDOR) as of today, February 1, 2023. Photos by TRip ni ToniO.
As shown, the bridge deck and bearings are already underway in preparation for concreting.

The temporary diversion road will be removed once the bridge is completed and opened to traffic.

The area between the river and the dike are no-build zones and forms part of the riverbed during high flows.

Raising the bridge was recommended to widen the river width at the site and allow the river to flow beneath it.

With a total project cost of ₱8.5 Billion, the FRIMP-CDOR is funded by a signed loan agreement number PH-P259 with JICA amounting to ₱5.01 Billion and counterpart fund of the Government of the Philippines from annual fiscal allocation amounting to ₱3.53 Billion.

Keep posted.
