For the past few days, this hotdog stand near Cogon Market in Cagayan de Oro City has been drawing long lines and has quickly trended in social media. 3 Kids Hotdog Sandwich is located at the southern end of the designated food cart area along Lt. Guillermo Street near Dilao Bargain Center. The place is a haven for those who like street food. And by the way, perhaps due to the rising demand, they have increased prices of the Small Size Chicken Hotdog Sandwich from P35 to P40 and the King Size Beef Hotdog from P50 to P55.

As observed, 3 persons are manning the hotdog stand (perhaps why it’s called 3 kids) – one cooks the hotdogs, one slices the breads and one puts in the filling composed of lettuce, hotdog, mayonnaise, catsup and lots of cheese. Either one also wraps the orders.

Well, aside from samgyupsal, hotdog sandwiches also need lettuce. Guess lettuce suppliers are doubling their effort.

By the way, they use Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog.

There’s really no secret recipe. The hotdog stand simply just puts in enough cheese … a cheesy overload indeed.

Here are close up shots of the hotdog sandwiches.

Prices went up by P5 for both small size and the king size.

Because of the demand, they now limit orders of a maximum of five (5) hotdog sandwiches per customer. They also give out priority numbers now of up to 30.

Despite the slight increase in prices, many still patiently wait for at least an hour for the hotdog sandwich.
