Construction of the Opol-Canitoan Bypass Road is now progressing along the segment connecting the southern hills near Youngsville towards Bulao in Iponan. Meanwhile, the 5th Iponan Bridge is likewise now connected to the Iponan side. Photos by TRip Ni ToniO.

This is the 5th Iponan Bridge (the other Iponan Bridges are along Maharlika Highway, Coastal Road, Bulao and San Simon.)
You can observe the under construction bridge approach at Bulao (Iponan) side.
This is the Bulao segment as it approaches the hills.
You can see the Iponan-Baikingon Road at left. The new bypass road traverses this road.
The road cuts across the side of the hills.
The road then ascends to the hills.
…and cuts across the hills towards Opol Proper.
Excavation works are still ongoing at the hills.
You can observe the 2-lane segment which cuts across the hills.
