Several areas in Misamis Occidental Province did not have that much holiday celebration after continuous rains on Christmas Eve that went on past midnight caused severe flooding. Emergency and rescue units were deployed and affected residents were evacuated due to the bad weather condition.
Rescuers also put off their Christmas celebrations to render service.

Some areas were at neck-deep.
