Birdspotting and bird photography are hobbies that require patience, but sometimes, a little luck makes all the difference. Lensman Steve Yucom got lucky after his morning coffee when he captured a dramatic midair encounter involving two crows seemingly chasing a Philippine eagle carrying prey in its talons over the thick jungles of Barangay Eureka in Gingoog City. Taken at around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, the remarkable photos show the crows apparently harassing or attempting to drive away the larger raptor as it flew with its catch, capturing a striking moment in the wild.
