Philippine pineapple exports hit record 812,000 metric tons in 2025; Northern Mindanao remains key producer

The Philippines exported a record 812,000 metric tons of pineapples in 2025, capturing 22% of global exports and retaining its position as the world’s second-largest pineapple exporter for the 16th consecutive year. Export earnings increased 25% to $538.3 million, driven by strong demand from China, Japan, and South Korea, which collectively accounted for about 90% of shipments. Meanwhile, Northern Mindanao produced approximately 1.73 million metric tons of pineapples, with Bukidnon remaining a major growing area. Despite a slight decline in regional production, the Philippines achieved record export volumes, highlighting sustained international demand and the region’s important role in the country’s pineapple industry.
