Structural columns are now rising for the six-storey Hotel and Convention Center at the Asenso Misamis Occidental Recreation and Aquamarine Park (AMORAP), dubbed the “Maldives of Mindanao,” in Barangay Libertad Bajo, Sinacaban. The hotel and convention center will be the largest facility within the 49-hectare, government-owned tourism complex, which officially opened in April 2026. Other attractions already operating at the complex include the Inland Villas, Ocean Villas, Sea & Olive Restaurant, landscaped swimming pool, Events Center, and pickleball courts.
