The ₱229.52-million Improvement of Mangima Spring Resort in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon has been terminated after contractor Ed1son Development and Construction Inc. failed to meet required project accomplishments and fell significantly behind schedule. Following a joint inspection on August 6, 2026, the termination was recommended and approved by Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño. The contractor will also be assessed for damages and other contractual liabilities. The LGU said the move aims to protect public funds and ensure government projects are completed efficiently and within schedule.
Below are photos taken in June 2026, a year after the project broke ground, showing the slow progress of construction work at the site.
It can be recalled that the project broke ground on June 10, 2025, with completion targeted within 540 days, or about 18 months. The project included the improvement of existing resort facilities and the construction of a new 4-star hotel.
