Three Cagayan de Oro pickleball players—Juan Paulo Fermin, Ian Malacaman, and Honey Gilles—have made history by becoming the city’s first players to officially register as professionals with the Games and Amusements Board (GAB). Their registration marks a new chapter for Cagayan de Oro’s growing pickleball community as the sport moves toward a professional league in the Philippines.
