Limketkai Center has drawn praise after its maintenance crew rescued a kitten trapped inside an underground drainage line near Starbucks. The mall responded after a netizen’s post about the kitten was shared and several others tagged Limketkai Center for help last September 1. The maintenance crew opened a manhole and crawled into the dark, narrow underground drainage pipe to retrieve the kitten. The rescued kitten, named “Roket,” short for Rosario Limketkai, was brought to a veterinarian, washed and cleaned, and placed under medication and observation. Roket is now safely under the permanent care of Limketkai Foundation’s shelter. A heartwarming rescue that shows how compassion can reach even the most difficult and unlikely places.
