PROJECT WATCH: ₱130.2-M Bulao Bridge Replacement in Iponan set to begin soon

The DPWH will replace the old Bulao Bridge in Barangay Iponan, Cagayan de Oro City, with a new two-lane pre-stressed concrete deck girder bridge. The ₱130.2-million project, which includes new abutments and improvements to the bridge approaches, will replace the existing steel bridge that has undergone repeated repairs over the years and is targeted for completion within 269 days. During construction, motorists will be diverted to the new Iponan Bridge along the Canitoan–Opol Diversion Road. The pre-bid conference was held on September 2, and, following the completion of procurement procedures, the project contract could be awarded soon, paving the way for construction to begin

Aside from two spans and piers, abutments on both sides will also be consrtructed.

Vehicular traffic will be diverted to the Canitoan-Opol Diversion Road.
