Tributes and condolences have poured in on social media for 26-year-old Khryztel Faustine C. Catudio, a guidance counselor at Capitol University Senior High School in Cagayan de Oro City, who was killed after being hit and run over by a trailer truck while crossing Gaabucayan Street on Wednesday morning, August 19, 2026. A native of Malaybalay City, Catudio was a BS Psychology cum laude graduate of Central Mindanao University and a former candidate in the Miss Malaybalay City pageant held in March this year. Initial police investigation indicated that she may have been in the truck’s blind spot while crossing the street. The truck driver, Christopher Yamit Llido, a native of Antipolo City, is currently in police custody.
