PROJECT WATCH: Odiongan Bridge rehab in Gingoog City to be finished this year; Parallel Bridge Project set to begin next year

The rehabilitation of the 179-meter long Odiongan Bridge in Gingoog City is expected to be completed within the year, while construction of a new parallel bridge is set to begin next year. DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon made the announcement during his inspection of the ongoing project yesterday, August 19, together with Misamis Oriental 1st District Representative Karen Lagbas. Built in 1977, the Odiongan Bridge serves as a vital link for motorists traveling between Butuan City and Cagayan de Oro City, making its rehabilitation and the construction of a new parallel bridge important to improving connectivity and traffic flow along the route.
