The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in the Philippines, led by Representative Ambassador Wallace Minn-Gan Chow, paid a courtesy visit to Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy on July 21 to discuss possible cooperation in agriculture and overseas employment. TECO presented a proposal to establish an Agriculture Incubation Center in Barangay Dansolihon and highlighted new opportunities for Filipino workers in Taiwan through improved Government-to-Government (G2G) recruitment, expanded domestic helper eligibility, and openings in the hospitality sector. The meeting was attended by local officials, including 2nd District Congressman Rufus Rodriguez, Vice Mayor Jocelyn “Bebot” Rodriguez, and representatives from various city offices and the Department of Migrant Workers Region X.
