PROJECT WATCH: Gingoog City United Hospital & Maternity Center breaks ground

Gingoog City Mayor Erick G. Cañosa led the groundbreaking ceremony for the Gingoog City United Hospital and Maternity Center on Friday, July 17, 2026, located in Barangay 25, marking a significant step in the city government’s efforts to enhance healthcare services. The event was attended by city and barangay officials, city hall department heads, representatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and other stakeholders. The planned Level 1 hospital will include an emergency room, outpatient department, laboratory, radiology services, labor room, wards, and other facilities designed to provide more accessible and quality medical services to residents of Gingoog City and nearby areas.

Project implementation will be undertaken in three phases as shown below.

The building’s design is inspired by Mount Balatukan and the Kaliga Festival.
