While the completion of the Cagayan de Oro City Library remains uncertain, a new library is set to open soon at Limketkai Mall. Located on the mall’s second level in the former space occupied by Cinemas 3 and 4, the facility is reportedly being established by the Limketkai Foundation. A large tarp bearing “Made for Minds” has already been installed onsite, hinting at the library’s upcoming opening. The facility aims to provide a quiet and accessible space for students, researchers, and book lovers to read, study, conduct research, or simply enjoy browsing books the traditional way. As with any library, visitors will be expected to observe silence and help maintain a peaceful environment conducive to learning and reading.
