Another promising basketball talent from Mindanao has brought his skills to Metro Manila. Olajuwon Smith Fuad Oladapo, a native of Dalipuga, Iligan City, is trying out for the Far Eastern University (FEU) senior high school basketball team, which represents the school in the UAAP Juniors. The 6’2” “Ola” previously showcased his skills during his junior high school years at Iligan Medical Center College (IMCC) before making the move to Manila. Following the tragic passing of fellow Mindanao basketball talent Rene Baterbonia, supporters have reminded Oladapo to stay safe as he continues his basketball journey, with some advising him to be extra cautious, especially when traveling to Aurora.
Ola was recently seen wearing the FEU Diliman jersey during the Milcu Sports Got Skills Basketball Tournament, where he saw action in a pre-season matchup against the University of Perpetual Help. The game marked his first test in Manila basketball as he begins his journey with the FEU junior team.
