The FDC Green 20.774 MWp Misamis Solar Project located at the PHIVIDEC Industrial Estate in Sta. Cruz, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental was formally inaugurated today, May 22, 2026. As the first utility-scale solar power plant integrated with a coal-fired power facility, it represents a significant milestone in strengthening the Mindanao grid amid growing global energy security challenges. The plant began commercial operations on April 26, 2025, and features a ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) system utilizing bifacial monocrystalline panel technology, generating approximately 30.2 million kilowatt-hours of net clean energy annually.
