Cagayan de Oro 2nd Dist. Rep. Rufus Rodriguez and ABAMIN Partylist Rep. Maxie Rodriguez have filed House Bill No. 8152 proposing the construction of a P500-million, 10,000-seat sports complex in Cagayan de Oro City featuring an air-conditioned gymnasium, basketball court, and various sports training centers aimed at promoting youth development, health, discipline, and teamwork while steering young people away from illegal activities and vices, with funding proposed through the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) under the General Appropriations Act.
