An all-female Special Forces Team of the Philippine Army recovered four high-powered firearms and an M16A1 spare barrel during a targeted operation on April 7, 2026, in Sitio Bendum, Barangay Busdi, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. Led by Capt Cristy B. Timtim, Team 16 “MAYA” conducted the mission across the rugged Pantaron Complex to disrupt the capabilities of local armed threat groups and prevent potential violence. The operation highlights the growing role of women in frontline combat leadership within the Philippine Army.
The team is composed of three female officers, four enlisted women, four enlisted men, and one CAFGU Active Auxiliary. The recovery was made during combat operations following validated intelligence gathered by the operating forces.

Recovered items include:
- Two (2) 7.62mm CZ 858 rifles
- One (1) 7.62mm M14 rifle
- One (1) 5.56mm M4 rifle
- One (1) M16A1 rifle barrel
